  1. I came across your blog today for the first time. I read some of your posts and know that if we lived beside each other, I would want to give you a hug for all the shit you have gone through in your life already. It makes me sad for the Pentecostal friends who went through this. I was not pentacostal but I lived through physical & mental abuse. The threat of sexual abuse never actualized with me when I was younger but my body was not my own later in life. I have found a great therapist who is helping me a great deal. It’s funny how I am a secular humanist and she is a Christian but I never waiver in my disbelief and we have forged a bond. I just wanted to say that I can relate to your writing. I just want you to know that you are an amazing woman. Thank you.

    • Thank you so, so much. It means a lot to me that you found something in what I wrote. I appreciate that you took the time to tell me. I’m so glad you found someone you click with. It’s not an easy search, that’s for sure. I have some great people on my team to. Funny how many people it takes to reassemble what just a few folks can break. Anyway, thanks again.

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog, and I wish I knew you in person, because I think we would be friends. 🙂 I grew up independent fundamental baptist and am also a childhood sexual assault survivor. And I love LOVE your piece on Kim Davis. And that you posted a pic of you with LEGO on your face. Thank you for being brave and telling your story.
